๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ Iโ€™m Daniela Patricio, a social and content specialist with over 5 years of experience in social strategies, community management, and content creation.

My journey began with a One Direction Twitter Stan account, sparking my passion for building online communities. I earned an Honors Bachelor of Applied Arts in Media Studies and a Diploma in Media Communications from the University of Guelph-Humber, specializing in visual communications like photography, graphic design, and videography.

Outside of work, I live-stream on Twitch and foster communities on Discord, sharing my love for pop culture, trending topics, and cozy games since 2020. This has deepened my appreciation for organic content and digital storytelling.

When I'm not crafting content, you might find me at a Pilates class, sipping an iced chai tea latte, or playing Animal Crossing.

TLDR: I create content strategies that build vibrant, impactful communities.

I was lucky to work with Daniela on the marketing team at Smile and got to witness her creativity, drive, and ability to collaborate first-hand. She is a highly skilled content creator and strategist, always bringing new ideas to the table. Shortly after starting at Smile, she championed a new community channel on Discord and helped develop a fresh content video series answering customer questions. She puts the target audience's values, needs, and opinions at the center of everything she does, which is an invaluable skill for a community manager marketer.

Daniela's collaborative skills and hunger for feedback are truly admirable. She never settles and is always looking for ways to improve her own skills and the effectiveness of the content she produces. The next company Daniela works for will be gaining an incredible team member!

I had the opportunity to be on the hiring team that brought Daniela onboard at Smile. As her department's senior manager, I then got to work with her regularly on social content strategy as well as getting updates on ongoing campaigns.

Daniela got right into the weeds at Smile: learning a new industry, new processes, and tools. She had great concepts she came to us with during the hiring process that she championed after joining. She definitely isn't afraid of trying new things or experimenting.

As a small but growing team, working collaboratively across marketing and the entire company was something Daniela had to do often to accomplish content needs. Ensuring brand cohesiveness between social, content, ads, and product marketing was essential.

She brings a fresh perspective to social media (and marketing in general) and a willingness to learn that would make any team would be better off if they have Daniela working with them.

I had the extreme pleasure of working with Daniela for the past almost-year. She came on as the first social direct report and together we navigated the epic highs and lows of growing Smile's social team. Right off the bat I was impressed by her thoughtfulness and creativity and over the months loved watching her grow her skills and confidence as she settled into her role. What consistently stood out for me was how she approached feedback and constructive criticism; she's hungry to learn and hone her skills and doesn't let ego or pride get in the way. She genuinely cares about what she does and the work she puts out in the world. I can't wait to see where she ends up next and watch as she continues to grow and thrive on her career path. The next company she works for will be super lucky to have her!
